Detester Magazine, founded in 2019, is a space and platform in which active minority young confront important socio-political issues through creative expression. We truly believe that art and writing are powerful mediums for change. We want to amplify all issues that affect minority communities, whether it concerns politics, society, culture, mental health, environment, etc. We aim to push past the endless single stories to deliver a picture that expresses distilled human emotions and diverse perspectives. We are minority youth-led and for minority youth. One of our fundamental pillar is artivism: the intersection between art and activism.
